Check-In

Find the check-in tournament tent.  It just depends on the park site but it's usually somewhere near the nets. There will be a crowd. Lines will usually be sorted by age group so make sure you know what age division you have registered. 

At the check in tent, you will be told your division location. You can go ahead and get your 'camp' set up near your net.  

We advise early arrival to 1) avoid long lines and 2) to get the primo spectator spots for your tents near your net. 

Every doubles tournament begins with a player meeting.  Ours will be held close our check in tent.  Ask at check in where the player meeting will be held. Player meetings are hard to miss: Someone with a whistle and clip boards will call it and you'll see lots of players heading over to him/her. Everything you need to start the tournament will be shared with you at the player meeting where officials go over the rules and hand out clip boards with schedules for each pool. Don't miss this meeting. Ask questions about rules as every tournament may have different rules for scoring, serve receive and play at the net.

Note: The beginning of an outdoor tournament can feel a little chaotic and can run late because there are so many players. Just check in and find your net and hang out and you will see your group gather for the meeting and for court assignments.
