Schedule & Format

It's very hard to predict how long the tournament will last. It depends on what time it starts, the skill of the players involved, the weather, the number of teams in the pool etc.  Lots of people ask for a schedule but you won't get that until the day of the tournament. Advance schedules aren't possible because a team may not show up at tournaments and some teams register a few hours before the event. As a result, pools and schedules get created on the spot. Most doubles events have 4-team pools but sometimes they will have 5-team pools. Often the teams play two sets each, but that can vary by tournament. Depending on warm up time, water breaks, taking scores to the tournament desk, pool play may last about 5-6 hours after the start time (About the same time as indoor events). Expect to stick around until at least 3, however depend on how you advance in the tournament, you may be there until 6 or 7
